Peugeot adding new dealers to plug-in network - 2011-01-20
French car giant Peugeot is preparing to add 22 new dealerships to its list of “plug-in places” where electric car owners can top up their batteries around the UK.
Peugeot describes its latest green car initiative as being a response to mounting support for electronic car ownership within the media, the government and the public at large.
Financial incentives aimed at encouraging environmentally-friendly car driving have been introduced by the government recently, partly by way of the 'Plug-In Car Grant', which gives UK consumers £5,000 towards their next electronic car purchase.
Peugeot is keen to see more and more Brits put their plug-in grants towards one of their own iOn electronic cars and it is hoped that adding more newly-equipped dealerships will help make that happen.
The iOn is a 100 per cent electronic car and there should now be a relevantly trained expert and a plug-in centre near you wherever you are in the UK, because Peugeot has spread its latest technology and expertise across dealerships in the Midlands, Manchester, Northern Ireland, the south-west of England, Milton Keynes, Leeds and the north-east.
Whether you have an electronic car in mind as your next vehicle purchase or not, it is important that you deal with professional and reputable car scrapping companies like scrap car uk when disposing of your current motor.
